How Grass Grows

We did an experiment on how grass grows. For this experiment we had a big tray and put dirt and seeds into it and let it grow. We left it on the window sill in the sun, we also watered it everyday. after a few days we could see little spouts of grass growing. Our grass was between 12-15cm. The experiment was a great success and we really enjoyed it but that wasn`t all we did. We also planted potato heads where we got some old tights and cut them up at the foot we put soil and seeds into it and then we put the heads into a jar with water we did 6 different heads.

This is the first time we saw grass on our heads 

This all of our grass heads at the end. The 1st grass heads got light, water and carbon dioxide it was a success. The 2nd one got light and carbon dioxide it only grew one strand. The 3rd one was under a box with a slit so it got some light , water and carbon dioxide. The 4th one got little light and carbon dioxide it grew on one side. The 5th one got no light but it got water, the grass was yellow and white. The final one got no light and no water, it felt very dry and it didn`t grow very tall.
